Where can I store trades I've made, with pictures, comments and tags? Tried using excel but files get too big with the pictures.

What I've been doing is suboptimal, but I like the low friction nature of it (that's why I started with this approach). I use Excel for all the quantifiable data points, and store screenshots in a PowerPoint presentation.

One solution I've heard someone use, which seems quite a good idea to me, is to post dates and charts on X (can be a private feed). Then you can search for stuff easily. You can add comments, too.

Others use Notion or a competitor.

Hope that's useful?

Very helpful thankyou. Mainly because there doesn't seem to be a perfect and free answer!

This way of doing it looks interesting - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CPlx8nmuXgE&t=1230s

Think I might stick to excel for now and see how I go!

I've found Excel to massively help me, so I'm glad to hear it. Good luck!

I tried to do deep dive today, looking at about 50 stocks trying to figure out which one would i buy , and i couldn’t figure out much. I drew some trendlines and setup alerts in tradingview. Maybe one day it will get better hopefully 🤞

Yes, you really have to do volume - an absolute minimum of 500 examples of a specific setup - to get the benefits of this exercise.

Remember that you're looking at historical charts though, not just current ones, for this exercise. You want to be looking at the stocks that have previously made the sort of move you want to capitalise on, then study their behaviour *prior* to the big move, so you'll be better able to identify it in real time going forward.

You're not coming at it from the perspective of which stocks to buy next - that's a separate process.
