Congratulations on 2,000 subscribers. You are such wonderful writing - easy to read and informative. I suspect you are on the road to many more. Thanks for sharing here. I appreciate your work and have learned quite a bit from it!

Silent (& lazy) admirer here but this post forces me to share my thanks & appreciation for your work. Given the depth of your writing and content, your substack is way under subscribed. Will be happy to send few coffees. All the best!

Another incredible article filled with super valuable information. I appreciate your decision never to have your articles behind a paywall; would happily send you one or a dozen coffees

Hi Kay, thank you for your articles. I enjoy your writing immensely. I think a buy me a coffee button is an excellent idea. Are you able to also retain the subscription option in case there are people that want that option? I don't have a feel for whether having both makes sense. Hope you have a great weekend!

Hi Brian, thank you! I suppose it's technically possible to retain both, but for clarity, I currently have no paid subscribers - only pledges. That means I'd automatically receive the money they pledged if I just turned on payments - which I've never done and, given that this feels so close to that paywall I'm avoiding, am not sure I'd ever want to do.

That said, it's good you point out that others may prefer that option (for whatever reason). Thank you for making it, and I look forward to seeing what others say on this.

Appreciate the comment, and have a great weekend yourself!
